The players called up by Hervé Renard arrived one by one at their base camp at La Maison Palmier in Cocody for the September and October international window. The first training session took place on Monday afternoon at the Abidjan technical secondary school.

The squad was due to travel to Bouaké on Tuesday to continue its preparation. The coach and one of his players are expected in front of the press on Wednesday, before a training session open to the media.

Of the 25 players selected, two withdrew: Odilon Kossounou and Guéla Doué, both injured, replaced by Junior Diaz and Luck Zogbé.

The window includes three matches: Ghana on Thursday at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké, Somalia on 29 September at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium, then a friendly against Cameroon on 3 October at the Alassane Ouattara stadium in Ebimpé. The Elephants last played in Bouaké on 3 February 2024, in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals, winning 2-1 against Mali after extra time.
