Elephants: Junior Diaz and Luck Zogbé called up to replace the injured Kossounou and Guéla Doué

Two defenders will miss the September and October international window: Odilon Kossounou and Guéla Doué, both injured, have withdrawn.

To replace them, Hervé Renard has called up Junior Diaz, a centre-back at Troyes, and Luck Zogbé, of Stade Brestois. Both join the squad for the three scheduled matches.

Côte d'Ivoire open their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on 24 September against Ghana, before travelling to Somalia on 29 September, then facing Cameroon in a friendly on 3 October.

In its statement, the Ivorian Football Federation wished the two injured players a swift recovery and sent its encouragement to the new call-ups.
