After Diallo's re-election, CAPFOOT calls on clubs to unite rather than divide

The Ivorian football action and proposals group (CAPFOOT) has issued a statement congratulating Yacine Idriss Diallo, re-elected as president of the Ivorian Football Federation at the elective general meeting on 12 September in Yamoussoukro.
The vote gave him 123 of 149 votes, or 74% of the ballots cast.
CAPFOOT notes that Côte d'Ivoire won the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and reached the second round of the 2026 World Cup during the previous term, while adding that much remains to be done for the development of the national game.
The statement, dated 17 September in Abidjan, encourages the re-elected president to keep talking to club leaders, and calls on stakeholders to set aside their differences. It quotes Félix Houphouët-Boigny on dialogue as the weapon of the strong.
