Koumassi: a job fair brings together 40 companies and nearly 2,000 young people at the Agora

The Koumassi Agora hosted a job fair organised by the town hall on Saturday, with around forty companies recruiting for apprentice, sales, technician and call-centre positions. According to the organisers, nearly 2,000 young people from the district turned up over the day.
The fair is part of a municipal programme launched last year to connect young people, with or without qualifications, with employers in the nearby industrial zone. Free CV-writing and interview-preparation workshops were offered under the tents set up on the forecourt.
Several participants say they had a first interview on the spot, while others regret that most of the offers are short contracts or internships. The companies present promise to call back selected candidates by the end of the month.
What the creator verified on Saturday: around forty employer stands and long queues at the CV workshops. What remains to be confirmed: the number of hires actually made after the fair, which the town hall promises to publish.
